Keywords
When you use SEO, you will have to research your keywords appropriately to match the topic that you are discussing on the page that you are working on. You should not just use the same keywords on every page as each page will be discussing a varied topic related to the main topic of your site. That is making the best use of keyword ranking.
So, how do you make the best use of keyword ranking for my clients? Well, I begin by researching the topics to be discussed and finding out what the most popular keyword searches are. I do this every three days to keep my clients’ sites optimized all of the time. These are the other things that I do:
• check keyword relevancy
• incorporate the most popular keyword for my page into my headline or title
• keep my keyword density and frequency of my keyword use per page down to 3% of the total word count
• check the rankings of pages that are linking to me
• keep my page up to date, changing keywords to more popular ones every week
• linking major points in my pages to other pages in my site and any outside blogs that I may have
Making the best use of keyword ranking is a time consuming job. It takes as much time in a day as writing my articles. However, if you want to put more time into either area, you do one job yourself and then outsource the other job to other employees or outsourced companies, like us, Business Web Coach or freelancers. Whatever you do though, do not ignore your ranking as this is what can put you on the first page of any search engine search and draw in the majority of readers to your site.
If you own a blog, internet business, or website, you are probably concerned with where your site ranks on different search engines. But how are those rankings determined? What is going to move you up or down on that list? Here are a couple of things you might not have known about search ranking analytics.
You can have your site analyzed for free. Actually, your site is being analyzed right now; you just might not know it. There are many free programs out there that will let you see the intimate details of your site, and some of them, will do it for free. One of the most popular programs is from search engine giant, Google.
You can determine the traffic to individual pages. If your site contains multiple pages, it is important to know what content is bringing in the traffic. You can use this information, to help you write future content. But that's not all a search ranking analytics program can do for you. Not only will it tell you what pages are popular, but it will tell you how they got popular. What search engine terms are people using to find your site?
The length of time spent at your site. Another important piece of information that a search ranking analytics program can help you determine, is how long people are staying at your site. If you notice that people are visiting your site, and then quickly leaving, you might realize that you have the right keywords, but the wrong content. If you want people to come to your site, and return to your site, you need to have meaty content.
These analytic programs can provide you with a lot of information about your website. You can use this information to increase your traffic, and ultimately increase your search engine ranking.
Keywords are like little flags that search engines use to find your site. If you want to get more people to find your site, you should put up as many flags as possible, right? If you are keyword stuffing your website, then you are probably going to lower your page ranking in the search engines. This is because search engines look for keywords, but they also look for quality content. If your articles just repeat the same word over and over, they are likely to be passed up by the search engines.
So how do you know how much is too much? There is a complicated and confusing science to a search engines algorithm. The exact number of times that you should use a keyword is not known. But SEO experts do have a couple of guesses for you. Most people say that having a keyword density of 3% or lower is ok. If you want to be safe though, you should keep your keyword stuffing down to somewhere between 1 and 2%. This means that for every 100 words, you can use a keyword approximately one time. Matt Cutts, from Google wrote an article, Avoid Keyword Stuffing that I had to include with this post, as it’s…a very interesting approach to discuss the topic.
Do I really have to count every time I use a keyword? That is one way that you can keep track. If you count as you write your SEO articles, you will have less editing to do when you are finished. Another quick way to find out how many keywords you have used is by using the word count function on many word processors. You can also use the find, or search and replace function, to help you determine your keyword density.
Keyword stuffing is especially important if you are using article directories to submit your articles. Some directories will not accept your article if it is too dense with keywords. You should probably check with your directories guidelines to find out exactly how much is too much.
The success of any website is going to be determined by the amount of traffic that it can generate. If you want your blog to generate more traffic, you are going to have to utilize SEO Techniques. But what is SEO, and how can I use it to bring my blog traffic?
Search Engine Optimization. These three words should be on your mind every time you write a new pose. SEO blogging is all about giving search engines the opportunity to find you. But how do you make your site more visible to the search engines?
If you want to be found by the search engines, and you want your site to be ranked high on their list, you have to use keywords. Keywords are basically the search terms that people will use to find your site. When you use a site like Google, you type in a search term. Google, then finds all of the sites that might pertain to your search. SEO blogging means that you write keyword heavy articles that will allow your site to be found by the search engines.
But what are the right keywords? You can use an a program to analyze your website, and find out what keywords are working for you, and what keywords are not working for you. Another way to determine the appropriate keyword, is to think about the subject of the article. What is it really about? For instance, if you are writing about a person, make sure to use that person’s name. Do not use clever nicknames, or refer to them as him or her. Google doesn’t know him, or her. They know the person’s name.
So what’s the key to SEO blogging? You have probably heard of ‘writing for an audience,’ before, but now you have to ‘write for the search engines.’ Because, after all, that is how you are going to build your audience.
There are many parts to a good website and a successful online business. The most important is a good product or service, one that people can trust, one that has value and one that fits into a particular marketing niche. Even the most perfect product or service will not sell if people can’t find it. Nowadays, people won’t be able to distinguish you from your competitors or even find you at all if you don’t have a good knowledge of keyword tools and how they are used to get you high up in the search engines.
SEO – or search engine optimization – is a means of building your website in a way that the search engines will find it attractive and rank it high for a particular list of keywords. Determining what the appropriate keywords for your product are, can be one of the hardest things you do, you shouldn’t just pull them out of a hat. However, there are now many keyword tool generators available that can help you find what exactly people are searching for when they are searching for you.
For instance, if you are a Realtor, your keywords need to be a lot more specific than “real estate”. There are a million Realtors online and you want people to find you who are looking for a real estate agent in your area, with your particular skills or expertise. If you specialize in foreclosures in Phoenix, for example, you might use keyword tools to determine that “Realtor”, “buy foreclosure”, and “Phoenix” are the best words for you to use.
Knowing what keywords to use for your particular site is one of the most important things that you should spend time on because it is what really drives people to you. These are the people that will fit your niche and are the most likely to buy what you have got to sell.
One of the keys to online marketing success is getting quality visitors to your website. You can get all the clicks you want, but if they aren’t people who are truly interested in what you are trying to sell, whether it is a product or a service, then you won’t sell anything. Getting qualified visitors to your site is turning out to be a lot easier than it has in the past, by using YouTube for SEO.
If a picture tells a thousand words, imagine how many a video tells. You can put up all the text links you want to your website, but there is something special about a video, especially one that you have recorded yourself. If you have a product, a short video describing and showing that product in action does much more than a webpage can and now that you can use YouTube for SEO; you can integrate your video right into the most common search engines.
The first thing you have to do is record a video, making yourself into an expert in your field, giving advice, answering a question, or describing how to solve a problem. If you have a product, show it, use it, or have others tell about it. Then, you submit your YouTube for SEO placement by uploading it to YouTube, giving it a great title and tags, linking to it on your website, and submitting that page’s link to the search engines.
Google places a higher relevance to video than it does most text, so if your video is relevant to your keywords and provides some informational content, then it will appear high in the listings, often with other videos that paid to be placed there. By taking the time to create a video, upload it, and link to it, you can get a lot of good, qualified traffic to your site almost overnight.
