On Page SEO
When you use SEO, you will have to research your keywords appropriately to match the topic that you are discussing on the page that you are working on. You should not just use the same keywords on every page as each page will be discussing a varied topic related to the main topic of your site. That is making the best use of keyword ranking.
So, how do you make the best use of keyword ranking for my clients? Well, I begin by researching the topics to be discussed and finding out what the most popular keyword searches are. I do this every three days to keep my clients’ sites optimized all of the time. These are the other things that I do:
• check keyword relevancy
• incorporate the most popular keyword for my page into my headline or title
• keep my keyword density and frequency of my keyword use per page down to 3% of the total word count
• check the rankings of pages that are linking to me
• keep my page up to date, changing keywords to more popular ones every week
• linking major points in my pages to other pages in my site and any outside blogs that I may have
Making the best use of keyword ranking is a time consuming job. It takes as much time in a day as writing my articles. However, if you want to put more time into either area, you do one job yourself and then outsource the other job to other employees or outsourced companies, like us, Business Web Coach or freelancers. Whatever you do though, do not ignore your ranking as this is what can put you on the first page of any search engine search and draw in the majority of readers to your site.
Many website owners assume that a page rank is merely the place where their website ranks in the search engines. In reality, your site's page rank is more complicated than that. When webmasters discuss page rank, they are usually referring to the Google PageRank and not a general placement of a listing in all of the search engines.
PageRank is actually a unique and patented analysis algorithm that is used by Google to determine just how important a web page is. Many people assume that the “page” in PageRank refers to the web page. Actually, the PageRank technology was named after Larry Page, the person who created it.
Your site's PageRank is determined by a number of factors. It is quite a complex mathematical equation, but what it comes down to is that when sites link to yours it can increase your site's PageRank. The higher the rank of the sites linking to you, the higher your page rank is likely to become.
Pages receive a rank of between PR1 and PR10. A brand new site, or one that hasn't been developed properly is going to have a rank of PR0, while sites like Amazon.com (PR9) and eBay.com (PR8) score much higher. In general, a rank of PR4 or higher is considered to be a good one.
So why is your website's page rank important? Because it plays a part in where your website appears in Google's search engine results. While no one knows exactly how much a site's PageRank contributes to the search engine placement, studies show that pages with a higher ranking, appear higher in results than those with a lower one.
Of course building your site's PageRank is more than just finding a bunch of sites to link back to yours. The quality of the sites linking to yours is important. That's why a quality link-building campaign can help a site achieve better search engine placement. Just remember, higher rankings don't happen overnight. They take time to achieve and Google takes time to update.
We all want to bring more traffic to our websites and blogs. The more people that we can bring in, the more money that we can make. But how do you bring in traffic? One of the best ways that you can create traffic to your site is through link building. This can be a long and tiresome project that requires constant maintenance. For this reason, many people have chosen to use link building services to build their links for them. Here are three reasons why this is a good idea.
First, it will free you up to work on the rest of your site. When you started your website or your blog, you probably were not concerned with links, SEO, or other online business terminology. But if you want your business to succeed, you have to take these things into account. By using link building services, you can optimize your site for traffic, while maintaining your focus on the content. Your service will be able to bring people in, and your content will be able to make them come back.
Next, let’s talk about traffic. There are two different types of traffic. There is good traffic, and then there is accidental traffic. You want to bring people to your site who will be interested in your product. It used to be that link building services would create a lot of traffic, but most of it was from people who were not interested in your website. Today, these services have gotten much better at bringing their customers niche specific traffic.
The last reason to use a these services is that they are professional, and knowledgeable. Many people assume that all business done over the internet is going to be a scam, or by someone unqualified. But there are many companies who pride themselves on their product, and their customer service. If you want to draw traffic, try one of these companies, like us, Business Web Coach. You will be pleasantly surprised.
If you own a business, you probably know the importance of location. You have probably heard people say that the success of your business is all about your location, location, location. But if you own an internet business, how can you put yourself in the right place? The best way for you to put your online business in the right location, is by using the right keywords.
Keywords are going to bring traffic toward your site. But what keywords should you use? And how do you find out which words are the good words? Here are some keyword tools that can help you increase your traffic.
One of the most common keyword tools that many bloggers use, is a suggestion tool. This tool can help you decide on which words are best for your blog or website. If you are writing about a certain subject, a suggestion tool will be able to tell you the most common search terms for that subject. If you are writing about the NBA, you will be able to find out what players are currently being searched for. This can help you develop your content, and bring in traffic.
An analyzing tool is another common program that can be extremely helpful. This tool can help you to find out how people are getting to your site. This will let you see what keywords are working for you, and which ones are not. This is a great tool if you want to find out how to sharpen your site.
Many of these keyword tools can be obtained for free, and are a great addition to any online business. If you want to improve your SEO ranking, you need to concentrate on your keyword usage. The best way to do this is with these free, and useful tools.
Getting traffic to your site is everyone’s primary goal these days and even though there are more and more search engines out there, there are also more and more people competing for the high rankings. If you are trying to increase your search engine rankings, then there a couple of tips you should follow that will help you get to the top.
1. You need to have what are called “backlinks” . Backlinks are links from other peoples’ sites to your site. In other words, they are almost like recommendations that you are a legitimate site and that you are mentioned throughout the web. The search engines like it when they see that you are linked to other sites and will place you higher as a result.
2. You need to spend a great deal of time on your content. This means refreshing your content on a daily basis if you can, getting feedback and input from visitors to your site on a bulletin board or comment forum, and keeping your content fresh and informative. If you are only rewriting PLR content, or rehashing old stuff that you have written before, the search engines will find you out an exclude you from their listings.
3. Spend time on your code if you want to get to the top of the search engine rankings. Make sure that all of your “alt” tags and “meta” tags are in place and correct. Don’t try and trick the search engines by using popular search keywords like “Britney” or “Oprah”. You are always better off using appropriate keywords for your subject.
Business Web Coach offers a FREE website analysis which will explain the current status of all of the above items. We can also tell you how to get there. Give your website the attention it deserves…make sure programming is correct and keep it up-to-date…you will see results.

When was the last time you had a good look at your website? Not just look at the design and the color, but had a look at how the search engines see it. Is your website full of tables and unnecessary coding that confuses search engines? Is it dependent on Flash or JavaScript that prevents it from being seen by the search engines? A good SEO audit will tell you all of this and more, and help you to get your web site to the top of the rankings.
There are many companies that offer free SEO audit services as a means to selling you their SEO optimization services down the line. You should be aware that some of these are scams, and some of them may try and sell you services that you don’t really need. So, before you hire a company, just take a look at how your site currently ranks in comparison to your competitors.
A good SEO audit will review all of your code on all of your pages, ensuring that it is up-to-date and compliant with all the latest browsers. It will also help you devise alternatives to any Flash or JavaScript technology that you may be using for navigation (these can prevent you from ranking high with the search engines).
Perhaps the most important part of an audit will be to determine what your keywords should be. A good SEO company will be able to give you precise details on what keywords will work for you, and what ones won’t. By learning your correct keywords and how to place them throughout your web site, you will have a better chance of ranking high without having to pay for placement. Getting all your clicks and impressions without paying for them is the best way to make your business a success. Get a FREE SEO Audit today!
When you want to bring in more traffic to your website, you do one of two things. You either write more articles using specific keywords, or you build links. Both of these methods are very effective. You can also combine these methods to get some very powerful results. Here are a few tips on how to link anchor text.
First, what exactly is anchor text. You have probably read articles before, and at the bottom of the article, there is a group of words that are in a different color. Most of the time they are blue. They probably say something like, ‘click here,’ or ‘read more…’ or ‘continue reading.’ If you click on these words, you will be taken to another site. These words are considered anchor text. This is a great way to build traffic, but if you use these words, you are making a very common mistake.
When you link anchor text, it is very important that you decide to link to the right words. ‘Click here,’ doesn’t tell the reader anything about the website that it is linked too. It also doesn’t tell the search engines where the link is leading to either. If you want to maximize your traffic, you need to link to important anchor text. If you are linking to an article in a magazine, use the magazine’s title as the anchor text. This tells the reader where they are going when they click. It also sends a powerful message to the search engines.
Another important tip to know when you link anchor text, is that it does not have to come at the end of the article. You can link to any part of your article. People started placing their links at the end of the article, because they wanted people to finish reading. The sad news is, that most people are only going to read the first few paragraphs of an article before they move on.
We all want our websites to be fun and exciting and do all the greatest things that technology allows, but if you are trying to get people to find your website on all the search engines, you might want to resist some of the bells and whistles and stick with straight HTML, because tools like JavaScript and SEO just don’t mix.
If you are thinking about using JavaScript and SEO is important to you (which it should be), then you need to follow these simple rules about usage and placement of JavaScript within your site:
1. Keep your JavaScript in files outside of your primary pages. Your HTML pages can link to them, but you don’t want them hidden within your HTML. They will prevent the search engines from crawling your web site further.
2. If you have to use JavaScript, keep it short and simple. Don’t use it for navigation, or the search engines will not be able to get to all of your pages. Of course, you should have a “sitemap” file on your server, so that it can be fully crawled, just in case.
3. Do not use JavaScript to rotate your content. The search engines need to see static content in its normal state or it won’t read it. If your content is brought into your site through JavaScript, there is a chance it won’t be read at all.
JavaScript and SEO, or Flash technology and SEO for that matter, are not good mixes. You can use JavaScript, but it should be supplemental to a basic site and not part of the core structure or navigation. Search engines, in general, have a hard time navigating through JavaScript and you may find that your site is never listed because the search engines just spit it out every time they come across your code.
Many online businesses today worry so much about SEO articles and online marketing, that they forget about their content. This can be disastrous for a website. The best online marketing might bring in a steady flow of traffic, but if you don’t have good articles, no one is going to come back to your site. Here are a few tips to help you with your content creation.
You can use a keyword tool to help you find out what is hot right now. The Google trend tool and other trending tools can help you to find what people are searching for. If you have a general site that touches on many different topics, this could be a great tool for you. If you have a small niche site, these top trends might not be touching on your sites.
Luckily, you can customize these keyword tools to your subject. If you have a site about apples, you can find out if people are searching for ‘red apples,’ or ‘apple picking,’ or ‘apple cider.’ If you know what people are searching for, your content creation can be geared towards those keywords. This way you can write SEO optimized articles that they will be interesting to your visitors. Trends on the internet change every hour, so you need to be on top of your game if you want to take advantage of these quick hit opportunities.
Another way to make sure that your content creation goes well is to write evergreen articles. These articles are called evergreen, because they never go stale. This means, that instead of writing about the 2008 election, you write about elections in general. Instead of tackling the 2010 Superbowl, you write about the history of a certain team. Writing articles that will always be pertinent is one way to make sure that your site will always get some traffic.
If you have a website then you have probably written SEO articles to help bring people into your site. Most people will use these articles as content so that search engines will have an easier time finding their websites. But another good way to build traffic is by building links. But how to you make people link to your site? One effective way is by writing SEO press releases.
Let us start off by talking about what a press release is, and what it does. When you create this piece of writing, you are writing a keyword article for your website. The different between this and your normal article, is that you refrain from opinion here. You want to concentrate on the facts. When your website started, what it does, and most importantly, what new is going on. A press release is a way of informing, not selling, people about your site.
The goal here is to make your SEO press releases interesting enough so other bloggers and website owners will take the information in them, and write their own article. A successful press release could create hundreds of unique articles, all of which will be pointing directly back to your site.
Here are a few tips to write effective SEO press releases.
A catchy headline. You want to write a headline that will catch the reader’s attention. You have to remember though, that clever is not always best here. Your title has to be informative, and capture the essence of the article, but at the same time it has to sound interesting enough to read.
Write like a journalist. If you cannot remove yourself from your company or you find it to be too time consuming, taking away precious time from what you do best, you should think of hiring someone to write your press releases.
