SEO Advice
We all know the importance of using keywords in our articles on our websites. Using the right keywords will help to bring in traffic. But did you know that the amount of times you use a keyword in an article could affect its ranking with different search engines? If you want to bring traffic to your site, here are three tips for proper keyword density.
Tip number 1. Knowing your keyword density. The first thing that you have to do is figure out how densely you are using your keywords. This is a very simple task. You simply take the number of times that you use a certain keyword and divide it by the total number of words. To find these word counts, you can cut and paste your post into most word processing programs, and use the word count tool. You can also use the search and replace function to find out how many times you use a certain keyword.
Tip number 2. How dense is dense enough? Now that you know how to find your density, you have to know how dense your article should be. This is a point that is often debated. If your article is too dense, it will actually drop in search engine rankings. This means that you can not just post an article that repeats the same keyword over and over again. Most people believe that one to two percent density is a good number to shoot for. This means that you should use your keyword approximately one time, for every hundred words.
Tip number 3. You need to use supporting keywords. If you want to use the term, NBA basketball, the rest of the content has to be in line with your search term. Use players, teams, and terms like dribble, shoot, and defense. If you want to have keyword density, your entire article has to point towards your key phrases.
When you want to submit your articles or content to search engines, you can find free search engine submission services through relevant websites or find a firm that will do the job for you. However, if you really want to ensure that you are getting your content to the right places, you need to know which sites are worth submitting to.
So, what sites can you use to make your free search engine submissions? Well, one of my recommendations is adding your URL to databases that serve search engines. In addition, you should submit your URL to sites such as:
• Google
• MSN
• Hotbot-Lycos
• Abacho
• Acoon
• Cupe
• Dino Search
• Entireweb
• Fire Engine Search Engine
• Free-1
• Frequentfinders
• Iguana
• Info World
• Intermont
• Questfinder
• Search Engine
• Search It
• SofcomSpark Search
• Surf Gopher
• Voila
• Web Wombat
• YuSearch
• AtoZ
• AxxaSearch
• E-Com Search The Web
• e-sygoing
• eCavite.org classified ads
• firengine
• gestialba
• Navegalis
• Sympatico
Obviously this is only a fractional list as there are numerous search engines out there. You should plan ahead of course, ensuring that your website’s SEO is up to date and that you have fresh content to show that your website is constantly maintained. However, whatever you do, do not submit your URL if you have any pages that are under construction as this will put you far down in the search engine rankings and it makes readers lose interest pretty quickly. Therefore, to get a free search engine submission may be easy, but this is just the beginning of the work that you have to do to ensure that your site gains a readership and rises, hopefully, through the search engine rankings or just sinks into oblivion.
If you want to be creative and increase web traffic to your website, there are a number of interesting things you can do. You may have to spend money, but there again you might not have to. This is why I wanted to share my knowledge with you and give you a helping hand that you will find very productive.
So, what did I do to increase web traffic to my site? Well, besides writing good content, I used SEO, something that you should take the time to learn. Otherwise, you can try these:
• provide original content for free
• provide content that is different from anywhere else
• provide content that has information that no one else provides in one place
• provide quality written content
• provide useful and informative content
• add in a bit of humor
• use the first person as if you were talking to your friend
• show solid facts
• help readers solve their problems
• keep your writing fresh
• add new content every week at the minimum
• write tight and appropriate titles or headlines
• keep up to date with changing things about your topic and share them with your readers
• to provide more information faster, hire writers to do more articles
• outsource for writing versus hiring employees
• provide a glossary of terms
• provide links to good sites for further information or services related to your topic
• use link building to draw in more readers
• provide an rss feed to keep your readers informed of the latest article postings
• recommend your url to major search engine databases
• do not use content generating software
• avoid rewriting other articles found on the net
• do detailed research before writing content
• improve your search engine rankings
• advertise yourself across the net and by word of mouth
• provide a subscription, free preferably, with a forum for discussions about the topic
• have an advertising page for companies providing services or products related to the topic
• avoid putting advertising on your content pages
• use limited, but appropriate graphics with calming colors – green, etc.
• do not make your graphics too busy
• affiliate yourself to book stores online and promote their topic related books to earn some money
If you want to increase web traffic for your site, then follow these steps very carefully. Just remember that solid facts and good writing play as big a part as SEO, so ensure that you use proper grammar and spelling at all times!
If you don’t have time to do your own SEO for your website or blog, finding the best SEO company is essential. Being an SEO professional, I know how critical it is to get the right keywords and to write tightly without unnecessary words in order to attract readers. However, there are some ways that you can find such a company and get the level of service that will drive readers to your site.
So, what can you do to find the best SEO company on the Internet? Well, firstly, you need to research SEO, just to get an idea what is involved as understanding SEO is critical to choosing the right company. Check out these useful tips that will definitely give you a better chance of achieving this:
• avoid companies that guarantee rankings automatically
• avoid companies that charge too much or make ridiculous claims
• avoid companies that only give you lots of meta tags, but do few changes
• avoid sites that just give you links to other sites
• look in forums about SEO
• look at articles about SEO on the internet for recommendations
• ask friends and other businesses who they use for SEO work
• check out links from reputable SEO sites to recommended SEO companies
• check references and ask for portfolio examples
• check a company’s clients and view their websites, including searching them on the internet to see their ranking positions
• only use a company that uses link building as part of their SEO services
• know what your goals are for readers
Finding the best SEO company is not just about getting a reputable company, but about understanding the mechanics of SEO yourself. If you don’t understand SEO, then how can you possibly find the best company if you don’t understand what it is that they need to do for you?
All business owners know the importance of location, location, location. But how do you establish your location if you are on the internet? If you have a business, and you are looking to get exposure, one of the best things that you can do is submit your company to the Yahoo Business Directory.
Submitting your company to the Yahoo Business Directory is going to do a few things for you. Here are some of the benefits that you will experience once you are a part of this community.
The first, and most obvious benefit, is exposure. Your company is going to be able to be found by online customers when they use the search engine. This could bring you a lot more potential customers.
The second thing this will do for you, is that it will bring you instant credibility. There is always a skeptic inclination when dealing with internet companies. A lot of people do not feel comfortable giving their credit card information over the internet. They will only do so if they trust the company. Getting listed in a directory like the Yahoo Business Directory is going to automatically give you some credibility.
You will also be able to check out the competition. When you have an online business, you have to realize that you are now competing against the entire world. You have to worry about all businesses, and not just your neighboring stores. You can use these directories to find out what other companies offer the same products that you do. This can help you establish an effective business plan to attack the online market.
The final benefit from using a directory like this, is that it is inexpensive. Compared to running newspaper ads, radio ads, or TV ads, joining an online directory is much more inexpensive.

Everyone is using SEO in some form or another on the Internet to promote their products, services and page content. However, not everyone requires the high level of sophistication provided by some forms of SEO, choosing to opt for the more conventional local SEO.
Most early webmasters, like me, began creating websites before true SEO, as you know it today, was developed. We had to manually work on links, gaining contacts and creating content that was easy to read and that was informative and useful to our readers. It was a real touchy time, but as SEO developed, some of those key early techniques never disappeared because they worked well.
So, what is local SEO? Well, I prefer to call it the foundation of modern SEO, the roots from which every good SEO expert develops and fine tunes their techniques for websites worldwide. However, the methods themselves are truly fascinating and no doubt you may have already been using one or two without even knowing it.
For example:
• Assessing your target type of audience – who are your customers, readers and potential clients; their interests; their income; their hobbies, etc.
• Updating page headlines and titles using a title tag, still one of the most vital old methods
• Creating unique titles for each page
• Including a handful of links that are built internally into each page
• Putting your contact information at the bottom of each page
• Updating your profile with major business links online
• Adding in video pages to demonstrate services and products or show more about your topic
• Adding in a blog and/forum to your site
• Keeping your site free of technical problems
• Obtaining links from experts and authority type sites
Local SEO is still the best way to start when you are beginning your website. It is affordable and easy, and if you are not planning on running a business and making a profit, it should keep you afloat if you keep on top of things on a regular basis.

The Internet has quickly become the world in which business is conducted. While brick-and-mortar establishments still exist and thrive, the Web is where most of the action is at. Because of this, online marketing companies have evolved to cater to the needs of those who wish to make their mark on the Web. The question is, what exactly do these companies offer and how do you know which ones provide quality online marketing services?
No matter what type of online business you build or run, chances are you're going to have more than a few competitors and competition can be fierce when it comes to the Web. The right marketing company will have the tools, knowledge and experience needed to help you rise above the competition and succeed in the online marketplace.
An online marketing company's main goal is to drive traffic to your site. This can be accomplished in a number of ways. Most online marketing companies will focus on your site's SEO (Search Engine Optimization), banner ads, link building campaigns, email marketing strategies and other professional online marketing techniques.
The key to a successful website business doesn't hide within just one aspect of online marketing. You need to use a combination of marketing strategies if you want your online business to be a success. A good marketing company understands this and will be knowledgeable in what it will actually take for your website to succeed.
When you are looking for online marketing companies to use, avoid the ones that offer to drive a specific number of visitors to your site for a set dollar amount. This type of service will not provide your site with the long-term results you need for success. Instead, look for companies that will analyze your site, help you improve it and offer you a variety of marketing strategies to use. By partnering with the right marketing company you can ensure the success of your website's future.
When you use SEO, you will have to research your keywords appropriately to match the topic that you are discussing on the page that you are working on. You should not just use the same keywords on every page as each page will be discussing a varied topic related to the main topic of your site. That is making the best use of keyword ranking.
So, how do you make the best use of keyword ranking for my clients? Well, I begin by researching the topics to be discussed and finding out what the most popular keyword searches are. I do this every three days to keep my clients’ sites optimized all of the time. These are the other things that I do:
• check keyword relevancy
• incorporate the most popular keyword for my page into my headline or title
• keep my keyword density and frequency of my keyword use per page down to 3% of the total word count
• check the rankings of pages that are linking to me
• keep my page up to date, changing keywords to more popular ones every week
• linking major points in my pages to other pages in my site and any outside blogs that I may have
Making the best use of keyword ranking is a time consuming job. It takes as much time in a day as writing my articles. However, if you want to put more time into either area, you do one job yourself and then outsource the other job to other employees or outsourced companies, like us, Business Web Coach or freelancers. Whatever you do though, do not ignore your ranking as this is what can put you on the first page of any search engine search and draw in the majority of readers to your site.
Many website owners assume that a page rank is merely the place where their website ranks in the search engines. In reality, your site's page rank is more complicated than that. When webmasters discuss page rank, they are usually referring to the Google PageRank and not a general placement of a listing in all of the search engines.
PageRank is actually a unique and patented analysis algorithm that is used by Google to determine just how important a web page is. Many people assume that the “page” in PageRank refers to the web page. Actually, the PageRank technology was named after Larry Page, the person who created it.
Your site's PageRank is determined by a number of factors. It is quite a complex mathematical equation, but what it comes down to is that when sites link to yours it can increase your site's PageRank. The higher the rank of the sites linking to you, the higher your page rank is likely to become.
Pages receive a rank of between PR1 and PR10. A brand new site, or one that hasn't been developed properly is going to have a rank of PR0, while sites like Amazon.com (PR9) and eBay.com (PR8) score much higher. In general, a rank of PR4 or higher is considered to be a good one.
So why is your website's page rank important? Because it plays a part in where your website appears in Google's search engine results. While no one knows exactly how much a site's PageRank contributes to the search engine placement, studies show that pages with a higher ranking, appear higher in results than those with a lower one.
Of course building your site's PageRank is more than just finding a bunch of sites to link back to yours. The quality of the sites linking to yours is important. That's why a quality link-building campaign can help a site achieve better search engine placement. Just remember, higher rankings don't happen overnight. They take time to achieve and Google takes time to update.
We all want to bring more traffic to our websites and blogs. The more people that we can bring in, the more money that we can make. But how do you bring in traffic? One of the best ways that you can create traffic to your site is through link building. This can be a long and tiresome project that requires constant maintenance. For this reason, many people have chosen to use link building services to build their links for them. Here are three reasons why this is a good idea.
First, it will free you up to work on the rest of your site. When you started your website or your blog, you probably were not concerned with links, SEO, or other online business terminology. But if you want your business to succeed, you have to take these things into account. By using link building services, you can optimize your site for traffic, while maintaining your focus on the content. Your service will be able to bring people in, and your content will be able to make them come back.
Next, let’s talk about traffic. There are two different types of traffic. There is good traffic, and then there is accidental traffic. You want to bring people to your site who will be interested in your product. It used to be that link building services would create a lot of traffic, but most of it was from people who were not interested in your website. Today, these services have gotten much better at bringing their customers niche specific traffic.
The last reason to use a these services is that they are professional, and knowledgeable. Many people assume that all business done over the internet is going to be a scam, or by someone unqualified. But there are many companies who pride themselves on their product, and their customer service. If you want to draw traffic, try one of these companies, like us, Business Web Coach. You will be pleasantly surprised.
