Wordpress
Some people think that SEO is not important for a WordPress blog…but those people are wrong. If you want people to read your site you have to optimize your site for search engines. WordPress even has its own built in search engine that will help you to find other blogs on the site. This is the same way that people are going to find your site. Here is some SEO WordPress advice that could get you a bigger readership.
Use the SEO WordPress plug-in. If you have a blog on this blogging platform, there is a free plug-in that you can use to help you with your SEO posts. This plug-in will allow you to customize your tags and titles to make sure that you rank higher in the search engines.
Another way to increase traffic to your blog is by marking it with social networking sites. You can put links to your Facebook or Myspace account. You can also link to sites like Digg and StumbleUpon. This will give you quality backlinks, and give a new audience a chance to find your work.
Another SEO WordPress piece of advice is to change the permalink setting on your blog. When you write a new post on this blogging platform, your post will be assigned a random number. This does not look good to search engines. But it is a problem that you can easily fix. You can modify your links so they read something a little bit more human.
If you want people to find your site, you have to use SEO techniques and keep your site updated. Make sure that you do research on your keywords and write keyword dense articles. You can also utilize the tools that WordPress has to offer, link to other sites, and change your permalink settings to read more like a real website. We, Business Web Coach, offer such services and are ready to help!

Why Landing Pages? If you aren't a regular in the affiliate marketing or internet marketing world, you may not be familiar with the term 'Landing Page'. A Landing page, also known as a sales page - is a website page made specifically to sell someone something. Usually it sells just 1-4 related products and nothing else. There is little doubt that you have run across landing pages yourself while browsing the internet.
You may recognize the "long sales letter" this is one of those landing pages that is packed full of words and advice about some amazing product or service - and the design makes you scroll down 8 screens worth of gibberish in order to find out is it available for the low price of $499. Needless to say, that specific type of page isn't my favorite.
In the search engine optimization industry, we get plenty of clients who say, I have great search engine rankings, now what about my sales, or what about my leads?
Landing pages solve that problem by either selling a specific product at that moment or converting sales leads so that you can get those visitors back to your site and have them buy when they are ready.
If you have had me consult with you one on one, you know that I am a huge fan of Wordpress. So a few weeks ago, I set out to findthe best landing page theme for Wordpress. I'm keeping in mind that this would basically solve the problem of not having enough flexibility. If set up correctly, my clients could leverage this system to sell insurance one day, and sell workout videos the next day.
I was about to make some landing pages for a PPC campaign. I needed a way that I could quickly change those landing pages without starting from scratch. I find that when I make landing pages from scratch they turn out inflexible and can't be easily changed. I finally found Affiliate Theme which looks like it is right on target for my needs. It appears to come with a bunch of graphics and that is a huge timesaver for me. I don't mind getting down to the nuts and bolts to do the programming, but in this case, time is money and my time is best spent optimizing sites, rather than building landing pages from the ground up. It is great that they offer to install the entire setup, but I think I'll just save the $100 and do it myself. That part is easy enough.
So now I just have to get our PPC Experts on board with this idea, but with landing pages this easy, will they even need us? DOH!
As the owner of a website, you have so many choices that you need to make, especially regarding what development tools you will be using. We all know that just putting up a website with static content won’t make it anymore, so more and more webmasters are utilizing Wordpress, in part because of its many SEO benefits.
There are two types of Wordpress that work with SEO – the software that you can use online, and the downloaded Wordpress that you can put on your own site. Most people choose to upload their information via the program online because it is much easier and does not require you to have the technical skills to install the software. If you do this, however, be sure that you have a backup of all your work on your own computer.
If you are going to be using Wordpress because of its SEO you should spend the time working with wordpress themes to create something that is more SEO-friendly and resembles proper content management.
By taking the time to properly design the style and theme of the site, and produce as much quality content as possible, you will have much better results from the search engines. Although much of SEO is decided by complicated algorithms, there is a human factor involved. So, keeping your website as legitimately informative and interesting as possible will help it stay high in the search engine results.
You will also rank higher if, by using Wordpress, you keep your content fresh, relevant, and always changing. This way, the search engines will pick up more and more content from you and continually rank you much higher than your competitors.
