Linking farms exist because many people do not have a clear understanding of search engine optimization. They hear that links increase a site’s value so they try to get as many links as they can. This is how they end up with links from bad neighborhoods or websites that are not in good standing with search engines, most especially Google.
Link farms are bad mmmmmmkay. They are created for no other reason than to house multiple links, exploiting the link popularity algorithm of search engines. They do not serve any purpose other than giving and getting links from everyone who joins. Getting a link in this manner is a problem because readers and spiders alike consider these farms as spam. So, if you value your website, do not use a link farm. Avoid them because they will only make you lose trust points from readers and Google.
